LubX- For high performance material applications

Alternative Engineering is proud to be one of the only suppliers of Lub-X in Australia.

What is Lub-X?

LubX is a specialty formulated high-performance material especially designed and manufactured to work seamlessly with POM, PET, and steel. This makes it suitable for applications in materials-handling and automation technologies. One of its several advanced features is a lower coefficient of friction, which eliminates the possibility of the slip-stick effect (backsliding) almost completely and thus increases process stability.

Why use LubX?

LubX has exceptional sliding properties while exhibiting a very low-temperature development. This means lesser wear and a longer lifespan of the entire system. LubX was developed for systems intended to be operated at higher velocities and pressure loads, meaning increased productivity.

LubX has been developed in such a way to minimise friction but also with consideration to the wear properties of its sliding partner. Compared with conventional sliding materials, conveying systems equipped with LubX need considerably less energy.

Some of the variations of LubX are:

LubX C– high-performance material especially aligned to POM and steel

LubX CV– especially for systems and machinery used in conveyor technology and automation.

LubX AST Colour– permanently antistatic sliding material in different colours

LubX S– especially aligned to the sliding partner PET

LubX AST Black– combines excellent tribological properties with controlled electrostatic dissipation and is specifically designed for machines in conveying systems that have to be operated at high speeds.

LubX is a great option for Alternative Engineering’s container handling clients. It has been specially developed for applications in materials-handling and automation technologies. For high production container handling productions LubX will be able to increase efficiency and capability. LubX generates very little heat, resulting in lower wear and a longer lifespan of your entire system.

Properties of LUBX:

  • Excellent sliding properties even at higher velocities and pressure loads
  • Excellent dry running properties
  • High wear resistance
  • Food Compliance
